The Rage Report

EDITOR'S NOTE: This interview was conducted before "Too Smooth" Eli Cruze was stripped of the wergrindhouse.com Championship by Guest Commissioner Vanessa Holiday on September 28, 2025.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the newest edition of The Rage Report!!!

My guest at this time is the current, reigning and defending WeRGrindhouse Dot Com Champion and I am talking about “Too Smooth” Eli Cruze!

Rage Report: First off, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to do this sit-down interview with me!

EC: Ohhhh yeaaa DJ you done did it now, you brought out the best of the best, one of the hottest young rising stars!! Of course I’m yours truly… Too Smooth Cruze

Rage Report: What was the moment that you decided that you wanted to become a professional wrestler?

EC: Well DJ, I guess we can get on a serious note here and I got to be honest. I started off like most people and watched on TV when I was younger. I think I started watching when I was about it 6, my great granddad introduced me to it and from day one I was hooked and once I started to get older, I had taken small breaks from watching and would tone in every now and then. It wasn’t till Covid hit and everyone went on quarantine and my basketball season completely changed and the way things were run started to change. We had got a complete new coaching staff for the next year, my junior year… but of course I’mma do what I do regardless and that’s get buckets, but yea after that season something just had came over me and I realized wrestling was something I could really do now and was old enough to start training. So, I had gone to one training at Grindhouse Pro Wrestling and the next week I sent my coach at the time a message and told him I wouldn’t be playing for the team my senior year. I had told some members of the team a couple days prior... and from there the journey began.

Rage Report: How did you hear about Grindhouse Pro Wrestling Academy, is that where you began your Wrestling training at? If not, then where and how difficult was it?

EC: I actually heard about Grindhouse through my Uncles friend who happened to be a member of the Grindhouse roster. That guy happened to be none other than Kevo Thrives, though now he’s fortunate we haven’t got a chance to really mix it up in the ring because he wouldn’t stand a chance! Amazing competitor though and he is the one who introduced me to Grindhouse and brought me to my first training session. And yes Grindhouse was where I began my wrestling training and career.

Rage Report: Who or What is your biggest inspiration in wrestling?

EC: When I think my biggest inspiration and fully attraction to wrestling, I can’t do it without think about my great Granddad because he was my first introduction to it and I am forever thankful. But when I think Superstars, I grew up watching my original guys were, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and Jeff Hardy. Those guys really got me into wrestling and wanting to do and accomplish what they have. After them though as I got older Roman Reigns became my top guy, but ultimately I would love to mix up with all them one day soon, unfortunately though they would all have to fall victim to the Cruze Control and take a staining defeat to the All-Star “Too Smooth” Cruze!!!

Rage Report: What is your real-life story that relates to your wrestling character?

EC: My real-life connection to my character and story is really similar, I am a true All-Star in every sport I’ve played. Basketball of course, but even soccer, baseball, football, and really anything athletic I’ve done it or definitely feel I can be great in it after a couple weeks. Basketball has always been my main sport and it wasn’t till my senior year of high school did I stop competing at that level. Though once I got to college I worked with the University of Kentucky Women’s Basketball team as a practice player, helping them improve. And in everything I do I am just smooth so that has just come naturally and it only makes sense for Cruze to be too.

Rage Report: Who are some fellow GPW superstars you'd like to go toe to toe with and why?

EC: Ooooo… some GPW Superstars I would love to put down are Kevo Thrives and Berto, because I need that lick back. And I think Klayton Cannon (Retired) and Oliver Gunner have great personalities and handle their business but I would want to see how they could stand with me.

Rage Report: What does the future hold for “Too Smooth” in GPW, maybe go for the GPW Heavyweight Championship or find a tag team partner and challenge for the GPW Tag Team Championships?

EC: Being as though I am the current, reigning and defending WeRGrindhouse Dot Com Champion, it is only up from here, being as though I will be the forever champ, it’s only right that I collect more gold and take more names. So I would first love to take Gunner’s championship belt and become the GPW Heavyweight Championship and then find some guy who’s smart enough to team with me and win the GPW Tag Team Championships.

Rage Report: What is your favorite moment from a past rivalry?

EC:  Definitely when I beat Big Mack in the Dog Collar Match!!!

Rage Report: What is your biggest feud in wrestling and why?

EC: So far it has been that guy “The Orca” Marcellus Mack, he tried to give me a run for money then I had to put him down like I did my other rivals Techno Cowboy and “Big Time” Ethan Heyre.

Rage Report: Who is your dream match/opponent and why?

EC: My Dream match would be against the “OTC” Roman Reigns. As long as his tanks still full when I come up in a couple years, I think it would be an amazing match and he has become one of my favorites to watch and I know I’d be ready for him.

Rage Report: Where can the fans see you LIVE at?

EC: You can see me LIVE on the Fourth Sunday of every month at Grindhouse Pro Wrestling, located at 1416 Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
